It is also essential to be transparent. We are a third party to your insurance plan, and every plan has layers of rules, exceptions, and fine print. Even with a benefits check, insurance companies can be unpredictable and sometimes uncooperative. What we can promise is this. We always advocate for you. If your plan owes you benefits, we will advocate for you with your insurance company to help you receive the coverage you deserve.
If your plan is not listed above but offers out-of-network benefits, we are always happy to bill your insurance on your behalf. For many patients, out-of-network preventive care, such as cleanings and exams, ends up being very similar in terms of coverage. Where you may notice a greater difference is with restorative treatments like dental fillings, because when we aren’t contracted with a plan, we do not have a write-off amount.
