Digital X-Rays
A significant benefit of digital x-rays is that they are generally safer than x-rays of the past since they use low-dose radiation to take pictures of your teeth and jaw bones. Resulting images are then displayed on a monitor so that our clinical team and you, the patient, can see what's going on inside your mouth. Due to their digital nature, these x-rays are easy to share with your other healthcare providers, streamlining communication for diagnosis and treatment plans.
Intraoral Imaging
We use intraoral cameras as they give us a good up-close look inside the mouth on the teeth and gums. These images are often helpful for you, the patient, to be able to see what we, the clinicians see. Dr. Hill can then use these images to diagnose potential issues, such as cavities or gum disease.
The iTero® Element™ Intraoral Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital imaging system that allows us to capture a detailed, 3D model of your smile. iTero eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional impressions—no more messy putty in your mouth! An iTero Element digital scan is far more comfortable than the old putty-based impressions, but it's also faster and provides more precise images. The Itero will help us improve the comfort level of our patients while enhancing the dental services we offer.
